A quick look at a few events this week
Putin's visit in North Korea and Vietnam + escalations between Israel and Hezbollah.
The week that is finishing has been quite busy, not only for me (sorry for my long absence, by the way), but also in terms of events around the world. You probably read/heard about Benjamin Netanyahu dissolving Israel’s war cabinet, the escalations between Israel and Hezbollah, with its chief Nasrallah threatening Cyprus, as well as Vladimir Putin’s visit in North Korea and in Vietnam (see also Simplicius’ latest SITREP), EU enlargement talks with Ukraine and Moldova starting next week and Mark Rutte (Dutch Prime Minister) set to become next NATO secretary general, as his rival Klaus Iohannis (Romanian President) withdrew his own candidacy and Hungary removed its veto on him, in spite (or maybe because) of his words: “What can we say to make it look like Israel is not committing war crimes?”.
With so many irons in the fire, I will focus only on a couple of them, but with a different point of view, compared to the Western mainstream media (MSM), of course: first the hypocrisy of the Outlaw US Empire regarding Putin’s visit in North Korea and Vietnam, then a look at the ongoing escalations between Israel and Hezbollah.
On Thursday 20th June 2024, John Kirby, White House National Security Communications Advisor, labelled the latest agreements signed by Russia in North Korea and Vietnam as “a sign of Russia's desperation for foreign assistance in the Ukraine war” (source: Sky News).
Someone should explain to Kirby that the more agreements a country makes with other countries, the more influential that country is. However, because of supremacism, here in the West, unfortunately, we are used to weighing agreements according to likes or dislikes.
If the US signs agreements with North Korea, then they are good agreements;
if Russia does it, then it is despair.
Reality tells us something very simple: while at war, Russia has managed to sign a military defence agreement with North Korea, another nuclear power!
The funny thing is that Daniel Kritenbrink, US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs, visited Vietnam yesterday (22nd June 2024), just a couple of days after Putin (source: AP News), allegedly to reaffirm the US commitment to implementing bilateral strategic partnership agreements. Yet he “insisted that his trip was unrelated to Putin’s visit on Thursday”.
So, on the one hand they call Russia desperate because it has signed agreements with North Korea and Vietnam. On the other hand, however, they organise visits that are not visits, but threats and blackmail at home. The timing is also noteworthy, as they arranged such a visit only this week, at short notice, whereas the organization of such a meeting usually takes some time. They organised it in a few hours, after they learned about the Vietnam-Russia agreements.
If there is someone who has reached the point of desperation, you can well understand who it is. No need to be an expert in geopolitics or international relations…
Just look at what happened today: Ukraine has bombed a beach in Sevastopol in Crimea, causing at least 2 deaths (one is a 2-year-old child) and 124 injured (including 27 children), as per these two Tass articles: 1 and 2. They are so desperate that they keep resorting to terrorist attacks targeting civilians, since they cannot hit well-defended military positions!
In the meantime, Israel launched attacks near the town of Al Wazzani, in southern Lebanon, in the morning of 21st June 2024 (source: Jerusalem Post, quoting Arab media reports). This could be the beginning of a disaster and an uncontrollable escalation for a number of reasons. Israel cannot militarily support a front against Hezbollah, which is highly organised militarily and supported by Iran. So an open war against Lebanon and Hezbollah could seriously mean Israel's self-destruction. Confirming this are US officials quoted by CNN as saying that, in the event of a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group could overwhelm Israeli air defences in the north, including the vaunted Iron Dome air defence system. Now comes the thorniest part because the ultimate warmonger: the Outlaw US Empire. Should Israel be at risk of annihilation, the Outlaw US Empire would be forced to intervene immediately, as without the outpost of the “chosen people” in the Middle East they would lose all influence. In fact, CNN again reported that, during a visit of Israeli top officials in Washington earlier this week, senior US officials assured them of full military support in case of a full-scale war with Hezbollah, though the Outlaw US Empire would not deploy troops on the ground.
Just last night, Hezbollah released on their Telegram channel this ominous warning by its secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah (the video below includes English subtitles), with Al Mayadeen reporting today that for the first time “Hezbollah has alluded to its point-blank missiles, which differ from precision missiles”:
Also, bear in mind that just a few days ago Hezbollah released another video (with English captions) with “aerial reconnaissance footage of areas in northern occupied Palestine, brought back by the aircraft of the Islamic Resistance's air force” - see also this article for more information:
Hezbollah is f*cking serious: if Benjamin Netanyahu escalate tensions in south Lebanon to a full-fledged war, Israel will be completely destroyed, annihilated!
The message coming from Hezbollah and its head, Hassan Nasrallah, is clear: FAFO, i.e. F*ck Around and Find Out!
Sure, Israel can count on the support of the Outlaw US Empire and its vassals, but Hezbollah can count also on Iran and most likely China and Russia too. Let’s not forget that Russia has military bases in Syria and its navy in the Mediterranean and that, just a few weeks ago, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that Moscow could give advanced weapons to the enemies of the Outlaw US Empire, in retaliation to delivery of long-range weapons from NATO countries to Ukraine, as reported by BBC:
If someone thinks it is possible to supply such weapons to a war zone to attack our territory and create problems for us, why don't we have the right to supply weapons of the same class to regions of the world where there will be strikes on sensitive facilities of those countries?
UPDATE (24/06/2024): Just a minor update to provide some links to a few interesting readings about the Ukrainian terrorist attack against beachgoers in Sevastopol in Crimea:
Gilbert Doctorow’s short post (3-minute reading),
Simplicius The Thinker’s analysis and SITREP (long-read) in the link below.
…as well as Dmitry Medvedev’s post on his Telegram channel, in response to the same terrorist attack and another one in Dagestan:
Bastards from the USA supply cluster rockets to the Banderites and help to target them. The bastards in Kiev target a beach with peaceful people and press the button. Both will burn in hell. Hopefully, not only in sacred fire, but even earlier in earthly fire.
All that happened is not military action, but a despicable and vile terrorist act against our people, committed on an Orthodox holiday. Just like the massacre in Dagestan by extremists. So now all of them - the American authorities, the Bandera regime and the insane fanatics - are no different for us.
My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
I also have an update regarding the crisis in the Middle East with the following report from Al Mayadeen, quoting the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General Charles Q. Brown Jr.:
An Israeli attack on Lebanon would risk an Iranian response, triggering a broader war that could put US forces in the region in danger.
The US won’t likely be able to help “Israel” defend itself against a broader war with Hezbollah as well as it did during the Iranian response on April.
Hezbollah's routinely fired short-range rockets will be harder to fend off.
The US continues to talk with Israeli leaders and warn against widening the war.
It looks like the US is afraid of serious consequences from Hezbollah and Iran, if Israel decides to escalate tensions in Lebanon further, up to a full-fledged war.
Israel and the west seem more and more insane and barbaric every day.
I've got a bad feeling about this.
Something tells me they've finally gone too far and the FO part of FAFO is going to unfold.
