In my penultimate article I speculated that the flurry of resignation in Kiev (Ukraine) could have been remotely controlled by the Outlaw US Empire to bring Zelensky’s regime close to an end, though I offered an alternative view in my last article. Here I will examine the situation in Israel and the wider Middle East, to see how things are developing, as it looks like that Washington DC may be going in the same direction as in Ukraine, i.e. trying to destabilize Netanyahu’s government before the US elections, thus bringing an end to the Israeli genocide of Palestinians and give a better chance to the Democrats.
Al Mayadeen has reported a couple of bombshells in just one article, which hint to what I have written above.
First of all, as per title of the Al Mayadeen article, US officials have warned Israeli leaders that…
American aircraft carriers cannot remain in the region indefinitely.
…which clearly exposes Israel to the Iranian retaliation for the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Teheran more than one month ago. That’s quite a threat! In practice, US officials are telling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu that, if he does not follow their suggestions, they are not going to help him if Iran finally decides to attack Israel, which could happen any time, especially since negotiations with Hamas are not leading anywhere.
Secondly, after months of lobbying and a recent meeting between the White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and the families of American-Israeli captives, urging him to pursue a unilateral plan and calling for all efforts to be made to rescue the prisoners, it looks like the Outlaw US Empire is indeed considering a unilateral deal with the Palestinian Resistance, thus bypassing Bibi, something that has been confirmed also by NBC News.
As if the above was not enough, today Israeli snipers killed a 26-year-old American-Turkish human rights activist, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, with a shot in the head in the West Bank, where she arrived only 3 days ago to volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) to protect Palestinian farmers from settlers and the Israeli “Defense” Forces, as reported by Al Mayadeen. NBC News is reporting that President Recep Erdogan has condemned Israel's “barbaric intervention against a civilian protest against the occupation in the West Bank” and that the White House has requested Israel to investigate her death, with the White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett releasing the following statement:
We are deeply disturbed by the tragic death of an American citizen, Aysenur Egzi Eygi, today in the West Bank and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones. We have reached out to the government of Israel to ask for more information and request an investigation into the incident.
However, it must be said that she is not the first American citizens who has been killed in the West Bank since 7th October 2023. So, we will see if this time the US is going to do something about it or if it overlook it.
Another Al Mayadeen article discusses some CNN reports on how the Outlaw US Empire is trying to achieve a ceasefire deal in Gaza without pressing Netanyahu, though it has not been going well so far.
Meanwhile today in Yemen “demonstrators swarmed the streets of Yemen for the 48th consecutive week in a million-man march”, as reported in this Al Mayadeen article, where the following statement by the organizers is quoted:
The great achievements accomplished at the hands of our Armed Forces humiliated the enemies in the sea. The Americans fled and admitted defeat, making a large part of our sea free from US control. […] Surprises await [the enemies] beyond the response.
Finally, another Al Mayadeen article, citing The National Interest, reports about tensions between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Arab tribes in Syria, particularly in Deir Ezzor, trapping the local population and US troops in a protracted conflict. The author of the National Interest article alleges that Iran and the Syrian government are involved in destabilising the region to force a US withdrawal and suggests that the US should consider a responsible withdrawal, allowing regional actors to take responsibility for security. We will see how this develops as well… in any case, it looks like the neo-cons are struggling to put together the pieces of the Middle-East jigsaw puzzle.
UPDATE (07/09/2024): Today an Al Mayadeen article, quoting Reuters, has reported that Iraq and the Outlaw US Empire “have reached an understanding on plans for the withdrawal of US-led coalition forces from Iraq”. Apparently…
the plan has been broadly agreed upon but requires the final okay from both governments and an announcement date. If the agreement is finalized as is, hundreds of US troops and other foreign armed forces will leave Iraq by September 2025, while the rest will depart by the end of 2026.
It looks like that Iraqi Resistance’s attacks against US bases have finally born fruit: the Outlaw US Empire and its vassal states will finally leave Iraq by the end of 2026!
No, there are more than enough Morons in the US supporting the Genocidal Maniacs in Israel.
