Israel is afraid of Hezbollah!
No wonder, given that Operation Arbaeen was a success, according to Hezbollah and European security sources, despite Israel claims otherwise!
Yesterday evening Al Mayadeen published an article quoting Israeli Reserve Major General Yitzhak Brik from an an interview with Israeli Channel 12. Here are some excerpts/statements (emphasis mine):
The most dangerous lie being promoted right now, which could create a major disaster for Israel, is that the [Israeli] army will launch an attack on Hezbollah.
The public needs to understand the truth. This very small (Israeli) army, which has been divided into six divisions and cannot eliminate Hamas because it cannot remain in the territories it occupies, will face many problems if it wages a large-scale war on Lebanon.
Even if the army manages to reach the Litani River, it will find that it must leave within two or three weeks because there will be no one to replace it.
The public needs to understand that Hezbollah will begin firing thousands of rockets at Gush Dan, the Haifa Bay, and strategic targets such as water, electricity, and air, sea, and land facilities, from the moment Israel launches a ground attack on Lebanon.
If the entire army were to enter Lebanon today, it could lead to an explosion in other regions [e.g. West Bank, Jordan and Egypt], leaving no forces available to defend all fronts simultaneously.
The most important thing Israel must do after achieving calm is to form a defense alliance with the United States, as it has no hope in the war that Benjamin Netanyahu decided to continue with all the Arab states, while Israel lacks the resources to continue the confrontation, the stamina, or the ability to win the war.
[Netanyahu, Gallant, and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, instead] caused the greatest failure for Israel in the Gaza envelope, and are now causing the second greatest failure since Israel's establishment, which is the defeat by Hamas and their refusal to secure the release of prisoners through an agreement, based on the massive lie that the army would undermine them after a short time, [something that] has no basis in reality... Israel has lost this war.
In another article published last night, Al Mayadeen reported that, according to European security sources, Operation Arbaeen, which Hezbollah launched on Sunday 25th August 2024 in retaliation for the Israeli assassination of his senior commander Fuad Shukr a month before, was successful, resulting in significant casualties within Glilot base and an Ein Shemer facility, associated with Israeli Intelligence Unit 8200, with 22 fatalities and 74 injured. Maybe this is the reason why the commander of Israeli Intelligence Unit 8200, Brigadier General Yossi Sariel, decided to step down just a few days ago, as reported by Israel Hayom. According to a letter distributed within the unit, he resigned because…
On October 7, I did not fulfill the mission as I expected of myself, nor as my subordinates, superiors, and the citizens of Israel expected of me. I am seeking to fulfill my personal responsibility as the commander of the unit, and at a time determined by my superiors, I will pass the baton to the next in line.
And it took almost one year to realize that? Wow!
In fact, as reported by Al Mayadeen earlier today, Ibrahim al-Moussawi, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, commented thusly (emphasis mine):
We have information that what Al Mayadeen reported [about the result of the Unit 8200 strike] is very accurate.
If "Israel" actually achieved victory by shooting down the rockets in Hezbollah's response, why would the commander of Unit 8200 resign?
Our sources from inside occupied Palestine have confirmed to us that what Al Mayadeen reported about the occupation’s losses in Operation Arbaeen is very accurate.
Meanwhile, according to The Times of Israel, the Israeli Justice Minister Yariv Levin, on behalf of his Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, asked Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to open and then close a case against Bibi and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, in order to avoid prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC), however the Attorney General refused, arguing that the court would see the ploy. Typical Bibi…
UPDATE (14/09/2024): Further to my last point above, the US envoy to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, made clear that the Outlaw US Empire will not arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, even if the ICC issued an arrest warrant, as reported here.
UPDATE (15/09/2024): Further to the second part of this article regarding Hezbollah’s Operation Arbaeen, this Al Mayadeen article quoted Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem as saying…
Why has the occupation [i.e. Israel] not organized a media tour or taken members of its government to the targeted bases to refute the resistance's announcement?
Why did the occupation impose a media blackout on the operation? Why did they impose a security cordon around the area if, as they claim, the operation failed? And why did the head of Unit 8200 announce his resignation now, instead of earlier, if it was linked to the events of October 7?
If they believe that war will bring back the [northern] settlers, they should prepare to [evacuate] hundreds of thousands of settlers [more].
awesome article Ismaele - you deserve way more attention than your'e getting - such great news
I will pass this on to 100 people !!
thanks ismaele... israel keeps on pinning its hope on usa to the rescue.. - "The most important thing Israel must do after achieving calm is to form a defense alliance with the United States" i don't believe the usa is going to be drawn into israels bullshit for forever... i don't want to underestimate the stupidity of the neo cons running usa foreign policy, but they are getting wake up calls more frequently these days.. and that is as it should be.. netanyahu and all the rest of israel leadership needs to be replaced with something realistic... the chance of this happening seems remote at this point, but it is coming.. either that or israel is going to fall apart as it is being pulled in too many different directions at the same time..
