LAVROV AND THE 500 YEARS OF DOMINATION
What follows is my English translation of an article by Loreto Giovannone published on ComeDonChisciotte.org [all emphasis original]:
“...the explanation of the past is meant to ‘illuminate the problems of the present’”
(Carl Polanyi. The Great Transformation, [1944], p. 7.)
On 10 December 2023, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, gave an important speech that will go down in history for having indicated the direction Russia is taking today. A speech of diplomacy, balance in geopolitics, high quality of reasoning, but which appeared inexplicable in the phrase repeated twice: “after 500 years of domination”. Understanding this passage is not easy if the asphyxiating mystification of reality, the manipulation of historical knowledge for the use of the masses, prevails. Ministries of culture, universities, the entire academic world dominated by Masonic potentates, as well as the entire world of information, actively work to manipulate the objective reality of facts. On the political level, manipulation is carried out by governments through special departments of the CIA, SIS, MOSSAD, and who knows what other spy organisations. However, Lavrov's words are revealing of the reality that concerns us all when he states:
“I have not had the privilege of listening to the previous speeches, I assume you were discussing the multipolar world that is emerging after 500 years of domination by what we call the collective West, a dominion articulated in many and various ways, including the ruthless exploitation of peoples and territories of other countries. In any case, on the basis of these 500 years, the US and its allies constructed the globalisation model they believed they needed to continue to dominate economically, militarily and culturally.”
For those who have not quite understood, Lavrov bluntly defined as totalitarian a system of domination [by] the countries that are part of the West, now called the collective West. Twice Lavrov speaks of 500 years of domination; the second time, when he mentions the United States, it is logical to ask why he says “these 500 years” if the United States has only existed since 1776? He probably refers not so much to the United States alone as to its allies; on the one hand, the Europeans and the small community that dominates private world finance, and on the other, the system of private banks that, having the power to create money that they lend to individual states, have thus been managing their political life for a good 500 years.
In the History of 500 years ago, there is the discovery of the “New World” and the Europeans of 500 years ago (today the collective West) are historically identified with two powers: the Catholic Church of Rome, with the Hispanic countries united to the Holy Roman Empire, and the large private Jewish finance. By both building the myth of the “New World”, they achieved the first form of globalisation in history. These two components are the allies of the US that existed 500 years ago that Lavrov refers to. We can therefore give two explanations to the sentence; the first is strictly historical and Lavrov did not give this one. The second answer is on the colonial domination developed by American finance up to the globalisation of the present day; Lavrov has given an ample and exhaustive explanation to this question, as we quote at the bottom of the article for the current relevance of the content.
First explanation of the sentence, historical in character.
It is necessary to start from the 1500s and distinguish three different phases: the first was the colonisation of the “New World” by Europeans; the second was the economic-financial colonial domination “back” from the United States, implemented over Europe after 1776; and finally the third phase, the expansion of America with the colonisation of the collective West. At this point, it is first necessary to refute the semantic deception concealed in the expression “New World”, a glaring historical fallacy. The Americas were more than ever old lands inhabited by numerous indigenous populations, millions of humans reduced to colonial slaves and exterminated by the Hispanic conquerors, first, and Anglo-French-Dutch, later. In all the history textbooks, until the recent past, there is no mention of the financial component of the powerful families or ethnic groups that invested and derived enormous wealth first from administering the Spanish provinces and then from colonial expansion and world trade.
The early Middle Ages saw the golden age of Jewish culture in Spain, a golden age that found much more gold after 1492 with the conquest of America. All the usurped, traded and exchanged wealth passed through the maritime route and for almost three centuries it was under the control of the Supremo Consejo de Indias, which had a total monopoly on goods and the sums paid for them, defining commercial traffic and the legislation and acting as a court of law with judgement on disputes. The Jesuit Mariano Cuevas gave a very clear definition of the function of the Supremo Consejo de Indias:
“It was above all that sustained and enlightened legislation [of] the Supremo Consejo de Indias, integrated with men of solid experience from their long years in these overseas governments. [1]”
Back in 1995, LIMES magazine explained in brief who supports American globalisation policy. The predominant party is the powerful Zionist lobby in the US, which funds the politics in two channels: funding from wealthy individuals and funding from private merchant banks. The Zionist lobby operates through both channels.
“Money for politics is obtained in two ways. In the first case, it comes directly from rich individuals, close to one of the two parties, or from those whose business interests - or whose political interests, as in the case of the Zionists - have something to gain from the election of a particular politician. In the second case, the money comes from powerful business corporation banks, oil cartels and so on, or from moral entities that, in most cases, organise lobbies or pressure groups to influence the two legislative entities (Congress and Senate) and the executive (the White House and cabinet members).”
Second explanation to the sentence, US colonial domination:
After Perestroika, Russia began a rapid transformation of its economy, developed its civil society, including its political structures, liberated its “colonies” in Asia and Central Europe and set in motion a profound transformation, while opening its market to the rest of the world and unilaterally declaring the end of the Cold War. Like an axle that suddenly loses a wheel, in the face of these unexpected changes the US revised its designs. “Hmmm, this is not good,” they thought in the 'think-tanks' in Washington as they proclaimed themselves winners of the Cold War. Winners or losers? It must be said that in fact the previous fifty years were all in favour of the dominant power.
The Bretton Woods financial institutions allowed the US dollar to reign supreme over the world. No international transaction took place that was not in dollars. With the exception of the Federal Reserve, no one knew how many billions of dollars circulated in the international monetary system. The international wars unleashed by the only real power were actually financed by the rest of the world, since the US only needed to [ed. note, organise and partly finance them by] print[ing] money. With monetary control and international financial institutions, the most powerful weapons, the largest banks and multinational corporations, who needed colonies any more in times of global banking and ATMs? [2]
Lavrov's recent statement prompts us to reflect and understand the History of the West in the so-called Modern period; it pushes us to a re-reading of the past, beyond the scholastic explanations of propaganda. That the History narrated so far is a skilful set of manipulations is very much perceived in the swirling intellectual current in the so-called Western society. Evidence of historians' manipulations is emerging on many fronts, in many disciplines. If the real facts are opposed to their propaganda, we should expose the counterfeits that the establishment operates by funding the mass media, and many in the world have done so:
“The multipolar world is emerging after 500 years of domination by what we call the collective West, a domination articulated in many and various ways, including the ruthless exploitation of peoples and territories of other countries. In any case, on the basis of these 500 years, the United States and its allies constructed the pattern of globalisation that they believed served them to continue to dominate economically, militarily and culturally and so on... And they thought they could use this pattern of globalisation to continue the domination anyway. Other countries, using exactly the principles and tools of western globalisation, acted to beat the west on its own ground by building their economies on the basis of national sovereignty and balancing interests with other countries. As this process continued, new centres of economic growth of financial power and political influence began to emerge and we see this process continuing and clearly rising to the challenge.”
