Liberation day?
Today (25th April) is the Feast of Liberation in Italy, but... what liberation are we really talking about?

In Italy today, 25th April, is Liberation Day, a national holiday that commemorates the victory of the Italian resistance movement against Nazi Germany and the Italian Social Republic, puppet state of the Nazis and rump state of the fascists. But is Italy really a free state today? No! It is a puppet state of the Outlaw US Empire. Why am I saying this? Just think of what’s been happening in Italy in the last couple of days.
Read what Antonio Tajani, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, said yesterday (24th April 2024) in an interview with the Italian newspaper “Il Messaggero”, also reported in Tajani’s blog:
[Question] Do you know that you will hear shouts against Israel and in favour of the Palestinian resistance in the marches, and no slogans of solidarity with the Ukrainians?
[Antonio Tajani] If so, it will be a pity. I would like to see some yellow-blue flags in the processions. Ukrainian fighters, like the partisans and soldiers of the liberation army in '45, are also fighting for freedom.
Antonio Tajani (pictured in the photo above) compared Ukrainian fighters to Italian partisans and anti-Hitler coalition soldiers… and it is not the first time he does it, but doing it on the eve of Liberation Day is even more ludicrous!
How can he hold up those who are inspired by Nazism and celebrate Stephan Bandera, the leading Ukrainian Nazi, as saviours of democracy? Either he has problems with history or he has problems with intellectual honesty.
And let’s not forget that the ongoing war in Ukraine did not start on 24th February 2022, but, as even the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg admitted (watch this video or read the transcript here on the official NATO website), it started in 2014, with the so-called Euromaidan, the coup that deposed Victor Yanukovich and brought to power the Ukronazis, who then started bombing Donbass because its residents wanted to be independent from a state that was forbidding them to speak their own native language (Russian) and to live like humans - this speech by Poroshenko is quite (in)famous! Now, tell me, dear Tajani, who is fighting for freedom? The Ukrainians against the Russians or the people of Donbass (with Russian support) against the Ukronazis?
This is how the Russian Embassy in Italy responded to Tajani on a post in its Facebook page:
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic Antonio Tajani, in an interview with the Roman newspaper "Il Messaggero", published on 24th April 2024 on the occasion of Italy's Liberation Day from fascism and Nazi occupation, took the liberty to compare Ukrainian fighters, including neo-Nazis of the “Azov”* battalion, as well as other similar formations, to Italian partisans and soldiers of the anti-Hitler coalition, the main heroes of the holiday.
Who better than the highest Italian foreign policy chief should know that the followers of the current regime in Kiev, who came to power in 2014 following a bloody coup d'état, act as the ideological heirs and political followers of the idol of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, Stepan Bandera, and his accomplices who promptly collaborated with the Nazis during World War II. Someone should remind the eminent Italian Deputy Prime Minister that hundreds of thousands of Russians, Ukrainians, Jews, and Poles died at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists at that time, and that even today, the inhabitants of Eastern Europe remember the atrocities of these people, atrocities that, in terms of ferocity and savagery, often surpassed the most inhuman German executioners.
It would be nice if the Italian Foreign Ministry would finally pay attention to the current activities of these so-called “freedom fighters”, who, in the worst Bandera tradition, have already perpetrated dozens of terrorist acts in their own country and continue to sow terror in Russia: among their intended victims are also philosophers, writers, journalists, politicians and peaceful innocent civilians. It would be nice if Minister Tajani would look at what the Ukrainian nationalists are now doing on Italian soil, where - following President Zelensky's orders - they have already started to compile proscription lists with the names of Italians they do not like.
As if the above was not enough, another Italian newspaper, “Il Foglio”, has put the Ukrainian flag on its front page today, together with the title “Long live the heroes of antifascism”:
The heroes of antifascism are the Italian partisans and the millions of Russians who fought to death to liberate Europe from Nazism, not those people, who, with the same flag, was fighting alongside the German Nazis!
And if you think that this should be enough, sorry, but we have not finished yet. This is what happened in Rome today:
The Jewish Brigade threw paper bombs at the pro-Palestine march. One bomb even ended up inside a demonstrator’s bag, as you can see in this video. No batons for them, on the contrary, two direct witnesses say: “They threw four paper bombs and the police are doing nothing”. However, in previous occasions, police beat peaceful and unarmed pro-Palestine demonstrators for no reason, e.g. in Pisa on Friday 23rd February 2024.
But wait… there’s more! In the video below you can see a reporter of RAI, the national public broadcasting company of Italy saying live on air that there have been charges by the Jewish Brigade (against pro-Palestine demonstrators); then one of these people in the Jewish Brigade (most likely, as far as I understand) approaches her in a threatening and surly tone, as if to slap her, saying:
There has been no charge, excuse me! There has been no charge! You are lying! There has been no charge! THERE HAS BEEN NO CHARGE! You don’t know charges! You need to provide information properly!
The “funny” thing is that the journalist in the TV studio dares to say the following:
Calm down… so… I dont’ think… I don’t think that there have been charges… there have been no charges […] Jewish Brigades do not charge. Jewish Brigades are there to demonstrate. There have been no charges. Let’s be careful on how we use words.
This is how propaganda works: if someone on the field, even a TV reporter, says something that goes against the narrative, even though supported by actions taken on record, immediately the anchorman or anchorwoman must intervene, silence the reporter and start repeating the mainstream narrative/propaganda.
This is what we are fighting against: the narrative according to which Ukrainians are allegedly resisting against the oppressor (Russia) and Israel is defending itself against Hamas, by killing tens of thousands of innocent people, mostly women and children. The world upside down. You will never hear from the mainstream media that people of Donbass and Palestine are resisting and fighting against the real oppressors: Ukronazis and the Israeli Zionists, armed to the teeth by the Outlaw US Empire and its NATO vassals. UPDATE (26/04/2024): A minor update after spotting this tweet on X by Iran Observer:

It is funny to see Iran now lecturing the Outlaw US Empire on human rights.
We are ruled by monsters and I am appalled every time the New York Times publishes a puff piece about Meloni (only last week), or the White House rolls out the red carpet for that vile piece of inhumanity. The US press keeps rolling out how Trump is a fascist while welcoming a real one with open arms!
However…. I was at the marches in Florence this week. I am so proud of the people who were there, standing up for Palestine
There must be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Pope Francis has said what is needed, now he must do what is needed by going to Gaza and standing for peace, justice and freedom.
