Maria Zakharova and Dmitry Peskov on Trump's assassination attempt
...and US vassals to the rescue of the Outlaw US Empire.
I was thinking of restarting my coverage on the Middle East crisis and the ongoing genocide in Palestine today, but Donald Trump’s assassination attempt has taken the limelight, though the US mainstream media does not describe it as such. Simplicius The Thinker has provided an excellent analysis of what happened in his latest article, which I strongly recommend that you read:
One thing I would like to point out, as I wrote in a comment to Simplicius’s article, is how quick the White House was in saying that Ukraine was not involved in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow back in March 2024 and in blaming ISIS-K for that or, more recently, in blaming Russia for the strike on a children hospital in Kiev earlier this week. Compare it now with the statements about the assassination attempt against Trump, telling us that we should wait for further investigation before jumping to conclusions:
Let’s see the comments coming from Russia on Trump’s assassination attempt, starting with Maria Zakharova’s posts on her Telegram channel. Here is the first one:
There was an assassination attempt on Trump.
Exactly 2 months ago drew attention to the fact that the US literally incentivises hate speech against political opponents, and gave examples of the American tradition of assassination attempts and assassinations of presidents and presidential candidates:
Here is her Telegram post she refers to in the one above:
I watch with amusement, turning into bewilderment, the buffoonish discussion in the West about the legitimacy of elections, inaugurations, government appointments and other constitutional procedures in Russia.
It seems to me that all these “reasoners” from NATO-centric structures would do well to sort out their own “legitimacy” first.
It is completely inexplicable why none of the Westerners who defend democracy, legality and human rights pay any attention to the fact that in the United States they openly declare "the need to kill the presidential candidate, former president of the country Donald Trump". This is being said not on blockchain networks, but in the official media, and not by Philadelphia drug addicts from Kensington Avenue, but by Democratic politicians. Congressman Dan Goldman and political scientist and publicist Robert Kagan, coincidentally (surprise!) Victoria Nuland's husband, have called for it, for example.
If you assume this is all just rhetoric, I'll tell you it's just US history.
First, a little excursion into the reality of legitimacy the American way.
1835 - assassination attempt on President Andrew Jackson,
1865 - assassination of President Abraham Lincoln,
1881 - assassination of President James Garfield,
1901 - assassination of President William McKinley,
1912 - assassination attempt on President Theodore Roosevelt,
1933 - assassination attempt on President-elect Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
1935 - assassination of presidential candidate Hugh Long,
1950 - assassination attempt on President Harry Truman,
1963 - assassination of President John F. Kennedy,
1968 - assassination of presidential candidate Robert Kennedy,
1972 - assassination attempt on presidential candidate George Wallace,
1974 - assassination attempt on President Richard Nixon,
1975 - assassination attempt on President Gerald Ford,
1981 - assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan,
1993 - assassination attempt on President George Bush Sr,
1994 - assassination attempt on President Bill Clinton,
2005 - assassination attempt on President George W. Bush Jr,
2008 - assassination attempt on presidential candidate Barack Obama,
2011 - assassination attempt on President Barack Obama.
The tradition is a terrible one, but it is, as they call it, well-established. And that's just some of what's declassified and available in the public domain.
It would be nice if the entire Anglo-Saxon army would turn their eyes to the monstrous problems with the legitimacy, democracy and human rights of their own electoral and constitutional procedures.
Now we can add the following to the list above:
2024 - assassination attempt on presidential candidate Donald Trump.
But let’s continue the review of Maria Zakharova’s posts on her Telegram channel. Here is the second one from this morning (all formatting original):
Bobby Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the failure of U.S. intelligence agencies to protect a presidential candidate : "An unprotected rooftop 150 yards away. Numerous witnesses, they were yelling at the Secret Service and filming for 3 or 4 minutes while they saw a guy with a rifle crawl up to the spot and take aim. Take your Secret Service and shove it up your arse! Praying for Trump and his family."
Dear Bobby and all those who vote in the US to supply Zelensky with guns:
1. Wouldn't that money be better used to fund the US police and other services that are supposed to enforce law and order inside the US?
2. Yesterday, one of the ringleaders of the Kiev regime, Budanov, openly admitted that Ukrainian intelligence was preparing assassination attempts on the President of Russia [see this article, for instance]. So this assassination attempt was prepared again with American money, without which there would be no malicious activity of the GUR, SBU and in general Bankova.
3. By massive financing and uncontrolled supply of weapons Washington has created a terrorist structure in Ukraine - the Kiev regime. It is a machine of murders, undermining, destruction, terrorist attacks against both political figures and civilians. The website "Peacemaker" alone, patronised by the Americans, is worth what it costs - a literal table of liquidation of journalists and public figures.
The United States of America must inventory its policy of inciting hatred against political opponents, countries and people, and sponsoring terrorism. The bell is already ringing in Washington!
Here is another statement that Maria Zakharova’s posted on her Telegram channel this afternoon:
All American media and observers, commenting on the assassination attempt on Trump, are talking all over the place about it being a “threat to American democracy”.
That's right, so the threat is inside, not outside. I would only specify that it is American democracy, which has been driven to a suicidal state by liberalism.
And here is a statement from Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, as reported by The Guardian this afternoon:
Of course the vassals of the Outlaw US Empire came to the rescue, with Antonio Tajani, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, stating the following, as reported on RaiNews.it:
Tajani: “Russia not entitled to give lessons”
“Russia is doing a propaganda campaign, it has so many internal problems, it has had attacks: let's remember what happened in Moscow. Russia cannot give lessons to anyone from this point of view, certainly not lessons in democracy. Let's keep in mind that Russia invaded a free country like Ukraine and I don't think it is entitled to give lessons to others.” Thus Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, commenting to SkyTg24 on the Kremlin's statements on the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Yes, you are right, Tajani. Let’s remember what happened in Moscow… and how quickly you all jumped in defence of Ukraine against all evidence Russian secret service was colleting, blaming ISIS-K for the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow a few months ago.
