Today Izvestia reported that, according to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the offensive in the Kursk region was prepared with the participation of intelligence services from the Outlaw US Empire and its vassal states Britain and Poland, with the Ukrainian units involved trained in Britain and Germany. Military advisers from these four NATO countries provided assistance in dealing with the Ukrainian units that invaded Russian territory and in the use of Western weapons and military equipment by the Ukrainians, as well as also satellite intelligence on the deployment of Russian troops in the area of the operation.
And yesterday, during a press briefing, Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder had the following exchange with a journalist (emphasis mine):
Q: And then just a quick Ukraine question. Is the US ready to openly and publicly support Ukraine's operation in Kursk? If not, why not?
MAJOR GENERAL RYDER:
Look, again, we're continuing to have the discussions with the Ukrainians in terms of their focus. You heard President Zelenskyy say it was to create a buffer zone. So we're having those conversations to learn more about what their objectives are. Again, if you take a step back from a US perspective, our focus continues to be enabling Ukraine to be a free and sovereign country that can deter Russian aggression in the future.
And so that continues to be our focus. As it relates to their operation in Kursk, as I mentioned, they clearly have compelled the Russians to struggle in their response. It has certainly demonstrated the creativity and the battlefield prowess of the Ukrainians. But when it comes to what their longer term objectives are here, that's something that we're still discussing with them.
Please re-read the last sentence that I also emphasized. That means that the Outlaw US Empire is actually coordinating the Ukrainian operation in Kursk.
Moreover, as reported yesterday in this Telegram post by the Geopolitics Live channel, quoting Sputnik (in Russian), the US mercenary firm Forward Observations Group (FOG) has claimed that its members are taking part in the Ukrainian attack of the Kursk oblast of the Russian Federation:
FOG's official social media accounts posted a photo with the text: “The boys in Kursk”, geotagging the city of Kursk.
(The photo above can still be found on the FOG Instagram page).
Some of you may say that they are only “mercenaries”, not NATO officials, well… for me that is like a word game.
Do you remember when pundits in the Western mainstream media (MSM) were mocking Putin and anyone who tried to reason rationally and realistically when the president of the Russian Federation said that the Special Military Operation was to keep the enemy away from Moscow?
This is not an issue that arose ~2.5 years ago, but it is rooted in a path of denunciation that has been going on since at least the early 2000s and expansion since the 1990s (watch this video of Putin’s famous speech at the 43rd Munich Security Conference in February 2007, if you have 30 minutes to spare). Time and again, Russia has denounced an increasingly evident proximity, which they rightly consider dangerous, on the part of NATO to Moscow. And looking at how far the most warmongering alliance that has ever existed on the face of the earth has gone, it must be said that they were absolutely right: now there are NATO weapons and most likely military personnel ~500 km from the Kremlin.
Just yesterday the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the following Press release on demarche to US Charge d’Affaires in Russia Stephanie Holmes (all emphasis mine):
On August 20, US Charge d’Affaires Stephanie Holmes was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, where a strong protest was lodged in response to the provocative actions of American journalists who illegally entered the Kursk Region to provide propaganda coverage of the crimes committed by the Kiev regime. Furthermore, emerging evidence indicates the involvement of an American private military company in supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ invasion of Russian territory.
It was stressed that these actions, which contradict the Biden administration’s claims of non-involvement in the attacks by Ukrainian neo-Nazis on Russia, clearly demonstrate the United States’ role as a direct participant in the conflict and its complicity in Vladimir Zelensky’s malicious plans.
It was particularly emphasised that US citizens involved in these crimes will face necessary investigative actions by the competent agencies in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to ensure they are held accountable. Additionally, it was clarified that all foreign “specialists” or mercenaries who illegally cross the Russian border will automatically be considered legitimate military targets for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
I wonder how it is possible not to see or not to want to see what NATO is up to against Russia, and I also wonder something else: how should Russia have behaved in the face of all that is going on, given that every attempt at dialogue on this issue has always been rejected by NATO? If Russia or China had done the same thing, i.e. brought weapons and troops in disguise to Mexico (after having placed a puppet president in a coup d'état) a few hundred kilometres from important cities in the United States of America, how would the latter have reacted?
What the Ukrainian army has done in recent weeks is the most serious, provocative and dangerous action ever taken against Russia. Obviously, as confirmed by Joe Biden, who says that he is constantly updated on the situation of the invasion of Russian territory, this action was fabricated and executed with NATO's permission. So, we could easily say that NATO has officially invaded Russia, even if most of the troops involved in the so-called “Kursk operation” are from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This shows that from the very first moment, this was never a defensive war by Ukraine, but an offensive war by NATO.
It started with defensive weapons, then short-range missiles to long-range ones, then the tank diatribe (the month-long story of German tanks that were eventually sent is well-known), then the green light to hit Russia with NATO weapons, then the F-16s, and finally, while someone was talking about sending NATO troops, here comes the Ukrainian army, remotely commanded by Washington, in a suicidal manoeuvre, bringing NATO into Russian territory at the gates of Moscow. If they had told the public in February 2022 that the goal was to arrive on Russian soil, many people would probably have been frightened. Instead they have done everything gradually to sweeten a morsel that is likely to be bitter, very bitter!
In World War II, Joseph Stalin signed a non-aggression pact with Adolf Hitler (also known as Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact) because he was afraid of being invaded. Eventually that pact became wastepaper and Russia was caught by surprise… and yet it won! In the 1990s, the Western neo-Nazis promised Gorbachev that NATO would not expand eastwards. That promise was also broken, but with one major difference: that in Russia history taught a lesson, whereas in the West it did not. In fact, Moscow has prepared itself before Western advances with over 6000 nuclear warheads and by putting its hands forward so as not to be taken by surprise once again, while the West continues to behave like Hitler (and Napoleon before him) by advancing towards Moscow, not realising that this time, it is not just one side that will be defeated, but all sides.
I will conclude with the statement that Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, released today in a post on his Telegram channel (all formatting original):
As I see it, there has existed a certain danger of late, however theoretical, of a “negotiations trap” that our country might have fallen into, under a certain set of circumstances. I am talking, of course, about the premature and unnecessary peace talks suggested by the international community and then forced on the Kiev regime. Talks that had vague prospects and no tangible outcomes.
Now that the neo-Nazis have carried out their terrorist attack in the Kursk region, everything falls back into place. The casual chit-chat of self-proclaimed intermediaries on the virtuous subject of peace has ceased. Even if they cannot say it out loud, everyone recognises the reality of the situation. They understand that there will be NO NEGOTIATIONS UNTIL THE ENEMY IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DESTROYED!
As to the ugly-faced scumbag with a messed-up white mop of a hairdo from the country that helped prepare the terrorist attack: he shouldn't be too eager to celebrate it. His country has made things much worse for the parts of former Ukraine still under their charge, and now there will be much more pointless spending, a lot more destroyed armour and a radically higher number of caskets. And the miserable Ukrainian serfs will keep kissing the bloodied hands of their Anglo-Saxon masters, overcome by gratitude to these necrophiliacs that take joy in abusing their subjects.
P.S.: As former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson wrote in one of his blog posts recently, NATO is crossing all red lines set by Russia - I recommend that you read it, if you have not done so already. In brief: the Outlaw US Empire is not just poking the bear, it has gone into his den… and now the bear is angry, very angry!
well stated ismaele.. thanks... medvedev's commentary near the end is also quite accurate.. i want to isolate one of your quotes that bears repeating - "This shows that from the very first moment, this was never a defensive war by Ukraine, but an offensive war by NATO." this is especially true and increasingly apparent to all both inside russia and outside in the world - for those who are paying attention to all this... lets not forget nordstream or the crocus hall terrorist attack either... the fact parts of nato are making war, doesn't let the other parts off the hook here either..
