The Outlaw US Empire is accelerating military deployment to the Middle East
...while Ukraine seeks further escalations with Russia.
After a week spent mostly on the Russo-Ukrainian war, due to the (still ongoing) Ukrainian operation in the Russian oblast of Kursk, it is time to focus again on the Middle East.
However, let me point you to a couple of interesting reads first, in case you are looking for updates on what is going on between Russia and Ukraine:
former CIA analyst Larry C. Johnson’s latest blog post titled “UKRAINE TRIES TO GO NUCLEAR, AND SETS ITSELF ON FIRE”, focussing on the recent Ukrainian drone attack against the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, held by the Russians, showing Zelensky’s desperation;

As per title of this article, the Outlaw US Empire has accelerated the deployment of its military forces in the Middle East - not a good sign! As reported in this article by Al Mayadeen:
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has announced the deployment of a guided missile submarine to the Middle East and has ordered the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group to accelerate its arrival in the region […] This move was disclosed by the Pentagon on Sunday, marking a rare public disclosure of submarine movements.
Lloyd Austin’s intention behind this disclosure is to launch a clear signal to Iran, warning that an Iranian attack against Israel would force the Outlaw US Empire to respond in a harsh manner, even using its submarines to strike back against Iran.
The acceleration in the deployment of the US military forces in the Middle East may be due to new Israeli intelligence warning that Iran may launch a direct attack against Israel within the next few days, after reports that Iran was rethinking about its retaliation for the Israeli assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran (Iran) ~2 weeks ago, as reported by The Times of Israel yesterday (11th August 2024).
It is not a good period for Israel: as reported in this Al Mayadeen article, citing Colonel Kobi Marom, an Israeli expert on national security affairs, Israelis are living in a “nerve-wrecking” period, while waiting for the Iranian revenge. Today the Israeli Air Force has even issued a “special directive immediately prohibiting permanent service members from taking vacations outside Israel”.
Also, this morning France, Germany and United Kingdom (UK) issued a joint statement saying that they “are working with all parties to prevent escalation” (in the Middle East), while the Royal Air Force (RAF) of UK launched an air strike on Kamaran Island (Yemen) in the Red Sea, together with the US Air Force (USAF), as reported by Al Mayadeen earlier today. You can clearly see their sheer hypocrisy: how can they be working to prevent escalation in the Middle East, while bombing Yemen and deploying further military forces in the region? It does not make any sense!
Do not believe any single word coming out from their filthy mouths, just look at their actions, instead. If they really wanted to de-escalate the ongoing Middle East crisis, they should stop bombing Yemen, halt their supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel and impose sanctions against it, as Turkey did in May 2024, when it halted all trade with Israel (see for instance this Times of Israel article).
By the way, just today the acting High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (EC), Josep Borrell, tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) that the EU must consider sanctions against Israel, following recent statements by Israeli ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, both calling for cutting off humanitarian aid to Gaza. Again, just words - I am quite sure that his boss, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the EC, would never allow to put this item on the agenda of the EC.
Apparently the Israeli bombing of Tabeen school in Gaza City and the ensuing umpteenth carnage last Saturday (10th August 2024) was not enough for the European bureaucrats, governments and politicians to take action.
In the meantime “Hezbollah is pacing up its operations on the Northern Front” of Israel, where last night it targeted the new headquarters of the 146th Division of the Israel “Defense” Forces (IDF) in Ga'aton, as reported in this other article by Al Mayadeen, with Giora Zaltz, head of the Israeli Upper al-Jalil Council, complaining that his locality is becoming increasingly less secure… and this barrage of Katyusha missiles was only in response to the recent Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon and the town of Maaroub in particular, it was not Hezbollah’s response to the Israeli assassination of senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut (Lebanon) ~2 weeks ago. Imagine the panic in Israel once Hezbollah and Iran decide to launch their (coordinated?) attacks to revenge Fuad Shukr and Ismail Haniyeh…
P.S.: I strongly recommend that you read this Al Mayadeen article, titled “Dark future awaits ‘Israel’ after war on Gaza, Foreign Affairs says”, summarizing the gloomy picture of Israel's future painted by the Foreign Affairs magazine in this article and also describing the growing isolation Israel is facing across the world.
hi ismaele... i agree with your comment most strongly - follow the actions, not the words... this is more of a foolproof way to understand what is happening here... all these countries want peace, and yet they continue to supply weapons that are directly responsible for the continued death of innocent people... one can't get around that... thanks..
