I found myself thinking along the lines of the last sentence as I was reading: "Checkmate is underway. But who is delivering it to whom remains the fundamental question of our time." To whom indeed.
Many of the excellent articles you've translated over these weeks have focused on the geopolitical motives. What's clear is that the desperation, nihilism and cruelty behind these Imperialist financial entities moving the pieces is glaring and their ignorance about their own dark and destructive descent into the death spiral of true insanity takes my breath away. And the anguish and suffering they are wreaking on our Mother Earth and Her children as they go down is relentlessly heartbreaking and unforgivable.
