Meta bans Khamenei from Instagram and FB...
...while allowing war criminals, such as Netanyahu and Gallant, to stay.
Yesterday, Friday 9th February, The Guardian reported that Meta deleted the accounts of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “for repeatedly violating our Dangerous Organizations and Individuals policy”, which states:
We do not allow organizations or individuals that proclaim a violent mission or are engaged in violence to have a presence on our platforms
Meta did not state how Iran’s supreme leader violated its policies, nevertheless one wonders why people like Benjamin Netanyahu (FB and Instagram) and Yoav Gallant (FB and Instagram) are still allowed to stay on the same social media platforms, since they proclaim a violent mission and are clearly engaged in violence.
It just shows all the hypocrisy and double standard of the West. Other examples:
US, UK and their allies can provide arms to Israel and allow it to continue its genocide in Palestine, but Iran must not escalate the conflict in the Middle East;
US and UK can bomb Syria, Iraq and Yemen, but the local militias should not attack the American bases illegally present in the region;
NATO can arm Ukraine to the teeth, but if Iran and North Korea supply weapons to Russia, they are violating the “rules-based order” (which means “one rule for us, another one for the others”)…
I could carry on with more examples, but I think you got the idea.
On a side note, it looks like The Guardian has decided to stop the Ukraine war live, as today is the third day in a row without a live. After all, the daily live was getting shorter and shorter every day, with no real update from the front, since Russia is advancing almost everywhere. They have probably realized that things are going to turn even uglier for Ukraine, with the recent dismissal of Zaluzhny and the subsequent appointment of Sirskij as a Commander-in-Chief:
Oh, well… never mind. I will keep you up-to-date on the topic.
