I wonder if this crosses a "red line" and as a result the Houthis are provided with the means to shoot down Iraeli planes?

What's your take?

Allegedly, we have already seen "Yemeni" hypersonic missiles targeting ships in the Red Sea. So, I would not be surprised if the Houthis have air defence to shoot down Israeli airplanes... most likely provided by Iran and, possibly, even Russia.

But is their AD sophisticated enough to overcome USA/Israeli defensive measures and if so, will they now use them?

Based on my admittedly limited knowledge, it seems that a few planes going down is the only thing that will restrain the Israeli govt from doing more more of this in the future.

Let's not forget that the Houthis have already downed four (4) US MQ-9 Reaper drones, each of which costs $30 million, in 6 months:

Personally, I'm looking forward to a few F35's and maybe an AWACS or refueling tanker being shot down.

I would love that.

While the Outlaw US Empire may have put red lines to Russia in Ukraine, it cannot do the same in Yemen, because Yemen is acting according to international law, which allows states to do everything in their power to stop a genocide (all the Houthis are asking is a stop to the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, then they will stop their blockade and attacks against Israel - "easy peasy"!), whereas Israel and the Outlaw US Empire are violating all international laws by bombing Yemen without any UN mandate.

And let's not forget that Putin promised to provide weapons to Russia's enemy in response to NATO that keeps pouring weapons and ammo to Ukraine. In fact, although I have no proof, I believe that "Yemeni hypersonic missiles" are probably Russian (or Iranian) and that the downing of the 4 US MQ-9 Reaper drones were enabled by Russian and/or Iranian weapons.
