The plot thickens on the Nord Stream sabotage... or not really?
Ukraine tries to deflect blame towards Russia on the Nord Stream sabotage, but it admits consulting with Western allies on the Kursk offensive.
Today I was thinking of giving you an update on the Russo-Ukrainian war, but, since Simplicius The Thinker does a better job than I do, I will leave it to him:
I will just expand a bit more on story related to the sabotage of the Nord Stream, which Simplicius touched near the end of his post. As you can read in his article, which cites Deutsche Welle and Sky News, Germany has issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian diver named Volodomyr Z., but another man and woman (both Ukrainians) have also been identified as accomplices, though no arrest warrant has been issued for them. All suspects have left Germany and, according to Russian media cited by Vittorio Rangeloni in one of his latest Telegram posts, they have been identified as the following Kiev residents: Volodymyr Zhuravlev, Evgeny and Svetlana Uspenskij.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is also reporting in this article that it was Valerii Zaluzhny, the former head of the Ukrainian armed forces, who masterminded the Nord Stream gas pipeline sabotage operation, with the initial authorisation of Volodymyr Zelensky, who later though called off the plan on CIA’s request, but Zaluzhny decided to go ahead anyway. According to the WSJ, Zaluzhny denies this version, saying that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) “weren’t authorized to conduct overseas missions, and he therefore wouldn’t have been involved”.
I still believe that the hands of the Outlaw US Empire and three of its vassal states, namely UK, Poland and Norway, are behind the plot, since there are too many clues pointing towards the Outlaw US Empire - see for instance:
Senator Ron Johnson’s and Victoria Nuland’s statements on 7th December 2021,
Joe Biden’s statement (in front of Olaf Scholz!) on 7th February 2022,
then UK Prime Minister Liz Truss’s “It’s done” text to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken 1 minute after the sabotage on 26th September 2022,
the “Thank you, USA” tweet on 27th September 2022 by EU parliamentarian Radek Sikorski, who deleted it after a couple of days, and finally…
(I strongly recommend that you click on the links above, if you are not aware of any).
Nevertheless a couple of things need to be pointed out:
With this new narrative in the Western mainstream media (MSM)/propaganda, they disprove themselves, since they first made up the thesis of “Putin bombing his own gas pipelines” after spending approximately € 20 billion on it, together with Germany. Moreover, they censored all those who did not believe their thesis, including Pulitzer prize winner Seymour Hersh, who first wrote an article blaming the US administration.
The second point, raised even by a senior German official in the WSJ article, concerns NATO Article 5, the one that is triggered when a member country is attacked: the Nord Stream sabotage represents the biggest attack on an EU country since World War II. That was a very important infrastructure for the economy, manufacturing and the welfare of European citizens as it brought high quality gas at low cost.
If it is true that it was the Ukrainians who blew them up, in theory we should defend ourselves against them. But since this is an action that mainly benefits the Outlaw US Empire, that's all very well, so the European countries can get by alone. If it is fine with the Outlaw US Empire, then no threat and no problem. It just shows what hypocrites and vassals of the Outlaw US Empire the European governments are.
Like Zaluzhny, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak is also rejecting his country’s involvement in the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage, as reported in this Reuters article, which cites Podolyak as saying:
Such an act can only be carried out with extensive technical and financial resources... and who possessed all this at the time of the bombing? Only Russia.
Of course, he couldn’t not blame Russia, though it does not make any sense, since they could have just closed the tap, if they really wanted to threaten Europe by switching off the gas flow. But anyway… Podolyak is right that Ukraine would have had neither the financial means nor the intelligence to carry out such a strike. Of course, he could not say who really did it, so he accused Russia, because he knows that in the West one can accuse Russia of anything without proof. The fact remains that, by denying Kiev's involvement, he is in fact accusing someone else.
Also, the same Podolyak admitted in an interview with The Independent that “there were discussions between partner forces, just not on the public level” regarding the attack in the Kursk oblast of the Russian Federation, thus refuting previous statements from Western allies saying that they were not aware of the Ukrainian plan. (Notice how The Independent buried that admission deep in the article, when the average reader already gets bored and his/her attention drops!)
And this finally brings me to the following statement (originally in Russian) on the Ukrainian operation in Kursk by the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, published yesterday (14th August 2024) on her Telegram channel (all formatting original):
⚡️ Commentary by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, M.V. Zakharova, in connection with the events around Ukraine:
💬 The criminal regime of the overdue Zelensky continues to demonstrate its true neo-Nazi nature to the whole world.
Against the backdrop of a failed situation for the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine] in Donbass, the Ukrainian authorities launched a terrorist attack on the border territories of the Kursk region. Kiev made no secret of the fact that by such a step it intended to improve its own negotiating position in the long term, which was stated by M. Podolyak, an adviser to the head of Zelensky's office, on 8th August.
According to the regional administration, the AFU shelling killed 12 civilians, including an ambulance crew and a pregnant woman, and wounded more than 120 people, including ten children. On the morning of 6th August, Ukrainian militants shelled from a tank the Gornal St. Nicholas Belogorsk Monastery right during the liturgy. <...>
☝️ Despite all these barbaric techniques, Zelensky's regime did not achieve its main goal - to distract Russian armed forces from Donbass and Slobozhanshchina [for more info on this region of Ukraine, read this Wikipedia page]. <...>
Ukrainian neo-Nazis, sensing the carte blanche given to them by their Western handlers to make bandit raids into Russian regions, launched a kamikaze drone attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant from Kiev-controlled Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region on 11th August. As a result, a fire broke out near the station's cooling towers - fortunately, it was localised in time and the threat of an accident was eliminated.
⚠️ This act of nuclear terrorism has once again shown what a danger to the whole world the Zelensky regime, incited by the West to more and more criminal adventures, the continuous supply of lethal weapons to Kiev and its regular financial support represent. <...>
UPDATE (16/08/2024): Larry C. Johnson wrote about the same topic in his latest post on his blog. I totally agree with him when he says that this PR operation should be seen in conjunction with reports that the Outlaw US Empire is trying to dump Zelensky (see second half of my article in the link below).
This is the perfect excuse to get rid of Volodomyr Zelensky - I actually found quite hilarious that one of the suspects is also called "Volodomyr Z.".
Yes, quite clearly those writing the new narrative didn't look at the old one very well--it's as if they think there's a Winston Smith busily changing that past narrative so the new one fits.
Oh Boy, they could have asked Seymore Hersh instead of making up another redicolous piece of Garbage.
