The "pro-sovereignty" Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, sells off Italian fixed telephony network to American global investment company
Think twice, think again, if you think that Le Pen's French far-right party, Rassemblement National, may change the foreign policy of France - Jordan Bardella has already shown the way!
Recently alternative media have focussed their attention to populist, nationalistic, pro-sovereignty extreme/far-right parties across Europe, especially in France and especially after the European Parliament elections and the more recent French elections. Several commentators and analysts (e.g. Alastair Crooke, Martin Jay, Gilbert Doctorow and Simplicius The Thinker, just to mention a few) state that their rise may change the political landscape in Europe, in particular regarding its stance in terms of foreign policy, especially towards Russia and Ukraine. However, I remain sceptical, as I already explained once in one of my previous articles (see link below), where I mentioned how Jordan Bardella, the leader of the French far-right party Rassemblement National (RN), reneged on electoral promises in recent statements.
In the article above I also mentioned briefly the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who has not kept her electoral promises, aligning herself and her populist, nationalistic, pro-sovereignty (or so she feigned) far-right party, “Fratelli d’Italia” (which literally means “Brothers of Italy”), to the (foreign) policies of the Outlaw US Empire and NATO. In fact, I personally think that her party should be called “Brothers of USA”.
What’s happened in Italy in the last few days fully supports my statement above.
In fact, Giorgia Meloni is selling off Italy piece by piece. After years of electoral campaign about sovereignty at the top of her voice, she has now handed TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile), the main Italian telecommunications company providing mobile, fixed telephony and Internet services, over to KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts), an American global investment company, as reported for instance in this article (in English) or this other one (in Italian). This is a result of an agreement that had received the green light from the Council of Ministers in January 2024 and that was formalised yesterday, Monday 1st July 2024.
With the sale of the fixed network to KKR, the ownership of a strategic, vital and extremely delicate Italian infrastructure passes into the hands of a fund that is in turn controlled by the Outlaw US Empire, as well as large financial funds such as Vanguard, Black Rock and State Street. This hands over to speculators and unscrupulous characters the ownership of a network over which public information, operations of national military interest, monetary transactions and sensitive data of citizens pass. This is a huge problem and concerns national security above all, since in addition to the infrastructure node, KKR could shut down the network at any moment.
Moreover, KKR is not only a large American group, but it is also tightly linked to the US Military Industrial Complex (MIC). In fact, we can say that it is controlled and administered “indirectly” by MIC and by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), given that the president is David Petraeus (pictured in the photo below), former Director of the CIA and with 37 years of service in the US Army, where he held command roles in Iraq and Afghanistan. Basically, with the handover of TIM, Giorgia Meloni has sold off that last, but very significant and very heavy crumb of sovereignty!
The conquest and subsequent colonisation of a country does not only happen with guns or bombs, it also happens by taking possession of strategic infrastructures, and today the one where data passes is the most important of all.
As if the above was not enough, on the same day (Monday 1st July 2024) Giorgia Meloni also transferred the Solbiate Olona military base to the American masters, since it has now become the headquarters of the new NATO quick reaction force in Europe - see for instance this article (in English) or this other one (in Italian).
All this was decided at the 2023 NATO summit in Vilnius, or perhaps we should say imposed by the masters of the White House, who ordered every single subjugated country to be prepared to turn it into a battlefield. Of course, always away from the Statue of Liberty! Bombs are to fall all over the world outside their territory. The rationale for this decision is that, according to their words, one must increase one's deterrence and defence capability, crisis prevention and management, and cooperative security. Simply translated: they are preparing for a war in Europe!
You do not believe this? So what do you think is the use of this new operational set-up that will bring up to 300,000 soldiers from the countries of the most warmongering alliance that ever existed on the face of the earth to Solbiate Olona? What purpose will it serve by bringing new means and new technologies?
And as if that were not enough, the commander who will take the reins has also announced with great pomp and circumstance that several exercises have already been scheduled for the next two years. In short, another target placed in Italy, which is increasingly becoming a military base where the first bombs will rain down, should the situation deteriorate.
