quote from poster at moa - circumspect is the posters name..
"I am fairly certain the explosive was placed in the pager during its creation and it was set off with a radio signal. The pagers were sold to companies in Lebanon in Hezbollah neighborhoods in coordnation with the known move on orders to dump their smartphones and rely on pagers.
There may be others who left the country with the pagers and they were not set off because it was out of range of the radio signal to set off the explosion."
Yep, that's why I said it's more "electronic warfare" rather "cyberattack". All devices must have been sabotaged beforehand with explosive, maybe during manufacturing or shipping, and then activated with an RF signal sent safely from Israel.
I think it was just a Channel Access Protocol code sent through the Lebanese pager network, I am guessing all the modified pagers were programmed to respond to this unique CAP. (Normally pagers only respond to their particular CAP, but because they all exploded at the same time, I suspect a unique CAP to set them all off.)
The way the Western MSM is dealing with it is outrageous: imagine if it had been the Russians or the Chinese to sabotage our devices, causing mayhem across Europe. Utterly disgusting!
US intel services being behind this does not make sense. Israel has all the know-how to execute this, and this is their M.O.
It also has nothing to do with charging, as these devices were powered by a regular AAA battery, and they don't support in-device charging, you just change the battery 5 times a year.
Sickening. I've followed this all day, at this point we're not going to learn more until hez analyzes and releases their findings. As I've questioned on moa, timing doesn't seem to make sense unless there are plans we don't know about. Certainly hez wasn't about to invade or launch a larger attack out of nowhere, and it seems impossible for bibi to invade lebanon, so why now? Just random? Hey we've packed explosives in thousands of devices used by the public so let's do it now before anyone finds out? Seems like terribly poor planning, when if used in the midst of a hez attack they actually could have succeeded in disrupting something.
Unless there's more we don't know, they've succeeded in angering a lot more lebanese people, assisting in hez recruiting efforts greatly, dealt a deathblow to their own consumer electronics exports, and likely greatly upset both china and their island taiwan. A top of casting suspicions of personal electronic devices worldwide, increasing the scrutiny hez now has of electronics even further, likely increasing such security measures worldwide, bankrupted a pager company, and probably effected sales of everything from TVs to EVs across the globe. For having such a good covert action capabilities it still can't overcome the stupidity that comes with being evil. We don't know perhaps they've foiled or postponed an attack but i doubt it.
If anyone had disassembled one of the devices before detonation and discovered a sizeable strange blob of at least a few grammes, they would have alerted everybody.
Taiwan is duplicious - and modified by Israel...in Taiwanese factories under the watchful eye of the US Hezbollah's expensive msitake - expensive in human lives I mean

Edward Snowden called this a "terrorist attack" and he is absolutely right, 100% correct:

Licenced to a Hungarian "shell" company, apparently abusable by Mossad.
Taiwan. Where they were "modified" at is anyone's guess. Factory? Shipping? Warehouse?
