Overall, I consider myself an “abolitionist.” I am talking about the death penalty here.
With regard to the Israeli PM in particular, as well as the cohort of criminals surrounding him and quite a few psychopaths within the IGF (Israeli Genocidal Forces), they should appear before an international tribunal of the Nuremberg type (to recall the sordid sham of justice that followed the fall of the Third Reich in 1945).
I agree: No hanging, no guillotine, no electric chair! Life imprisonment! Period! First of all, we must clip the wings of these birds of ill omen, and remove them from power, a power that they have retained by perpetuating wars since the creation of this entity.
And there is a very simple way to achieve this! Let us stop providing them with weapons, financial support, moral guarantee and absolution for all their sins! and this, only the United States can do it, as for the European dwarves, there is no need to talk about it.
By not doing it, the USA are active accomplices of all the exactions committed and, to come of this rump state, and they should find themselves in the same dock!
On the talk of a Israeli cease fire deal; as richardstevenhack says just above, Lebanon has repeatedly said no deals will happen unless and until the Israelis are out of Gaza. The Israelis have said they won't leave Gaza.
Plus Trump has repeatedly said that Bibi, "has until the 20th." So I doubt Bibi is going to cease anything with anyone.
And Bibi may have other more immediate concerns than cease fires, I recommend this discussion that while broader in topics does get into Bibi and his may legal problems.
I agree with Khamenei - Netanyahu and the entire Israeli government needs a bullet to the head.
Now as to this "ceasefire" - the last I heard was that Hezbollah would not cease its operations until all Israeli operations had ceased in Gaza. Have we seen that? No. So there will be no ceasefire. Q.E.D.
As far as I know, the only "negotiations" going on are between Lebanon and Israel, brokered by the US. In other words, there has been NO Hezbollah participation, only participation by an intermediary political group which "represents" Hezbollah.
The supposed "deal" requires Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River. As far as I know, this is not possible. Hezbollah LIVES both below and above the Litani River. This basically would require most of the Shia living below the Litani to move elsewhere. That's not going to happen.
It also requires Israel to have freedom of movement inside Lebanon. Hezbollah is not going to allow that.
This is another sham "deal" identical to the sham "deals" offered by the US and Israelis to to Hamas. It's a PR stunt, nothing more.
I also remain sceptical and wait for the ceasefire to be approved by the Israeli cabinet and the Knesset. However, it is worth mentioning that, after publishing this article, Al Mayadeen quoted Israeli officials cited by Israeli media as saying that "the ceasefire in Lebanon will take effect on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday". Let's wait for it...
One more thing: Hezbollah may have agreed on a ceasefire in principle to cause more cracks within the Israeli cabinet and society, which could collapse from within. We'll see...
Doubtful. First of all, the alleged deal is being vetted by the Israeli cabinet only, bypassing the Israel government itself. This alone is a red flag.
The problem I have is that I can not find ONE single statement from Hezbollah about this alleged "ceasefire" - not one. Anywhere. And it completely violates their stated position going back to last October as well as their strategic requirements.
I begin to suspect that there is no "deal" being made, and once it falls through, Israel will use it to escalate the war with Lebanon, blaming Hezbollah for not agreeing to it. This has been a pattern of Israeli "agreements" with Hamas in the past. In fact, the US may use this "failure" to justify its direct involvement in support of Israel inside Lebanon - which, as everyone should know by now, is Netanyahu's fondest wish.
I haven't read any statement from Hezbollah cadres either. However, I read that Netanyahu tonight has said that he is planning to increase the pressure on Hamas and focus on Iran, if the cabinet approves the ceasefire deal (already approved by the security cabinet).
The "ceasefire" is supposed to be in effect as of 9AM this morning.
Hezbollah and Islamic Resistance continued attacks on Israeli forces this morning.
There is no "ceasefire" - it's a unilateral withdrawal by Israel, having failed to accomplish anything in Lebanon.
However, I suspect it's also a trick. Since Hezbollah has issued no statement and its independent forces continue attacks, by definition the "ceasefire" has been "violated" - so now Biden and Netanyahu can have an excuse to widen the war by bringing in the US.
I've been in Federal prison - no, it's not. More importantly, torture is never worse than death to one's enemy. Enemies are to be killed - no exceptions.

This is where I do not go along with the Arabs.
The USA one of the few countries in the world puts people to death. NO adequate representation by Lawyers.
Death is mild compared with 'life imprisonment.'
You Arab countries know full well that anyone put to death is often a Martyr.
DO you want to make 'martyr' of Netanyahu or his followers?
I guarantee that NETANYAHU if killed will come back to haunt you.
NO more death. LONG term imprisonment.

Yes, I am well aware of Bibi's corruption trial. Thanks for the link.

It may not last long anyway!

NO more killing........life imprisonment is a lot worse.
