Yes, Craig Murray's article is very interesting. That's why I shared the link within my article. It gives quite a different (pessimistic) opinion, compared to the others.
i missed that ismaele. i am sorry... i am overwhelmed by it all... craig is fairly realistic.. if he had put the title in the form of a question, i would have liked it better..
"The Lebanese state is responsible for following up on 'israeli' violations, while the resistance allows the opportunity for the success of the ceasefire agreement."
That is fucking bullshit. Hezbollah needs to declare the "ceasefire" null and void and immediately resume massive attacks on Israel - and also on whoever they can reach of the insurgents in Syria.
I hope Assad is safe. His wife has cancer. What's going on with them ? I think they're in Damascus but I also read somewhere the terrorists are in Damascus I also read that reading Russian bloggers about this situation is terrible. They are very negative about the outcome, which I had since found to be true. Better to read Syrian writers like Syrian Girl. Kevork Almassian is also Syrian, although he hasn't really got too much information either right now. As long as nothing happens to Assad this will eventually be overcome. The new president of Iran is coming under criticism too, but maybe he's okay. Iran usually stays in the shadows and helps covertly.
Follow Elijah Magner on X, he's covering it closely. Brian Berletic has a video up offering some context, reminding everyone that Syria was in even worse shape in 2015 when the Russians finally got involved.
yes, I have been reading Elijah's posts and I saw Brian's video - that was good. I also find it distressing that Russia will always try to work with the dishonest leaders as well as the honest ones, like Assad for instance. I guess somewhere in the past Assad did stuff that wasn't realllly okay - as did Gadaffi - they all tried to go along to get along with the US until they got assassinated by the US. Eventually the good guys, like the Russians, are going to have to draw a line and not work with those that are dishonest - like Erdogan. Also there's a very famous saying - The Russians are slow to saddle, swift to ride ' So that's why you don't see the missiles flying yet.
Just before publishing, Gilbert Doctorow has written on his latest blog post that, according to the Daily Telegraph, Assad evacuated his family to Moscow:
FANTASTIC. Everything is giong to be alright Thank you so much - the best news ever. I feel so sorry for all the folks in Damascus but Assad and Putin will fix this Maybe even China as they have investments now in Syria I think....what do you think of this remark Israele - from Arya on X - - One thing is for certain: Turkiye replaced Saudi Arabia as the center of influence on extremists. For years, it was Saudi Arabia who had direct influence in the region with its Wahhabi ideology, which Israel made use of, to further its agenda in West-Asia. (1/5)- - - - - - -After many investments into normalising relations with KSA, Israel likely saw no serious future with them. With Al-Aqsa Flood, Israel realised Turkiye’s influence and invested in a grand scheme to replace Wahhabism with Ottomanic centralisation. (2/5)- - - - - - - -Saudi Arabia is improving relations with Iran on a daily basis, it was not feasible for Israel to completely rely on them. So the hybrid warfare shifted towards Turkiye. (3/5)- - - - - - -
Why is Turkey such a great alternative? Economically, Iran relies heavily on Turkey. Unfortunately, Iran has invested so much in this economic relationship that severing ties would significantly harm its already fragile economy. This dependence is also why Iran (and Russia) avoid naming Turkey as the culprit for the unrest in Syria right now.Not trying to give you fear, but I’m afraid we’re witnessing only the beginning of things. With the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, we’re witnessing the loss of his “Barekat”.Barekat means the blessing or divine favor. The prosperity he had over the region. It’s going to take time to heal this prosperity. (5/5)
epilogue The situation in Syria is likely to neither end with the fall of Bashar Assad nor turn into a full-scale civil war. Given the balance of power in the region, it seems that the Damascus government and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) will reach an agreement to divide territory. This is my opinion, as an observer to the developments.
thanks Ismaele - I will have a look at your article about the Turkish people - Yes I wish Putin and as Arya has said - also Iran - would stop doing business with Turkey. Do you think the Iranian president is a traitor to the resistance ? I just saw that the Iranian FM has said Iran wants to meet with the new rulers of Syria....wtf ? https://x.com/MyLordBebo/status/1865468439193645214
yeah - that was my wording but that's the impression. I hope that Iran and Russia and Syria will figure this out. I think they will - thanks so much for communicating. So hard watching all this. But God gives human beings challenges to make them stronger. We need to win this. I mean Syria...I'm just watching from cold dark Canada.
I haven't heard/read him saying that Iran wants to meet with the "new rulers of Syria". In any case... they may say one thing overtly, but covertly they may be preparing something else with Russia (I hope!).
I am not happy about the outcome of the Russia-Iran-Turkey meeting. The statements by Lavrov indicate some sort of "accommodation" of the insurgents in Syria - although I'm pleased with your reports that Iran and Iraq are likely to move.
There is a massive amount of disinformation being tossed around. The Russian fleet, for example, appears to remain in Tartus after having returned from exercises in the Med. There is a satellite photo on Andrei's blog, so it has not "fled" as some reports suggested. However, I'd prefer to see them at sea firing missiles at the insurgents.
There are videos of Russian S400 air defenses being moved somewhere, it's not clear where, but possibly being moved from Hama - which is under threat - to safeguard it and reinforce the Tartus port.
EXACTLY why is any Sovereign Country allowing the USA to dictate how things are run in Sovereign countries? In the name of a brutal USA/Israel empire.
About time US is destroyed.
I am tired of listening to all this.
BOMB the USA

No need to be sorry. :)
I think we are all overwhelmed by what's happening in Syria and the wider Middle East / West Asia.

Erdogan is a treacherous snake.
Turkey is still selling oil to Israel, despite having allegedly stopped all trade with Israel: https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/new-evidence-reveals-oil-shipments-turkey-israel-continue-despite-embargo?s=04
